Born in London. Inspired by Tokyo.

Delicious and nutritious Japanese street food.

Rainbo Food

Serving up the best gyoza and Japanese street food this side of Tokyo. We believe street food can be healthy as well as delicious and mix traditional Japanese recipes with our own personal influences in order to create dishes that are colourful, vibrant, tasty and good for you.

  • About

Rainbo was born out of a pure and undying love for gyoza, good times and good food. Our mission is to spread the word... and the word is dumplings...!

At Rainbo we believe in the importance of food that is fresh, vibrant, delicious and good for you. All of our food is homemade, and we specialise in gyoza dumplings, katsu dishes, Asian small plates and much more, all served from our iconic 1948 Ford Pick Up Truck, our mobile ‘gyoza gazebo’ and our flagship store in the heart of Canary Wharf.

Street Food

This is where the journey began for Rainbo all those years ago and you can still find us across London at some of the capital's most well-respected foodie markets, as well as up and down the country at some of the UK's biggest festivals.

If you want to find out where we'll be next!

Private Events

We have a variety of menus ranging from our traditional street food offering, to contemporary Japanese small plates and canapés and have been hired out for everything from weddings and birthdays to large corporate events, Christmas parties and club nights.

Testimonials

"This is hands down the best festival food I have ever had!"

Leefest (festival, 2016)
"Myself and the SANE Communications team really enjoyed working with Rainbo for our client's event. James responded to our initial enquiry within a few hours and Rainbo were able to tailor their menu to our needs - which was hugely appreciated in the short time frame we were working with. The team arrived on site on time and throughout the event were super professional. The food was, of course, delicious and received a great response from our guests!"

"The Rainbo food truck: beloved for its delicious gyoza."

The Evening Standard

2016
"We hosted a launch event to open The North Face's Urban Exploration pop-up store in London's Seven Dials, and wanted to cater for the evening in a fashion that made reference to the 'street' vibe so great street food was key. Rainbo was the perfect accompaniment to the evening; James and his team were brilliant and passionate about providing amazing street food."

Jack McLean, Mongoose Sport & Entertainment

The North Face Urban Exploration Launch (private event, 2016)
"We first started Leefest in 2006. Each year we've handpicked food traders to feed the crowd and keep the talent happy. Across three days I've never quite seen one vendor so unanimously loved as Rainbo did at the festival in 2016. Rainbo's food proved that festival food can be a real treat and always exceptional. Beyond the ridiculously tasty food, it's also hugely beneficial for the event that the Rainbo team are so friendly, relaxed and proud of the meals they serve. It makes a real difference on site when you have people like this raising the quality of the festival experience for everyone."
